Sugar

Sugar is a substance sweet flavor extracted mainly from sugar cane and sugar beet. It is mainly formed of a compound named sucrose. Other plants also can produce products mainly composed of sucrose (eg palm). However, other compounds of the same family of saccharides also have a mild flavor: glucose, fructose ... which are increasingly used by the food industry and other sectors1. In common parlance, the term "sugar" can refer to any one dares.
